My work is rooted in explorations of the everyday, studied and constructed through photography, drawing, and bookmaking. Fleeting interactions with nature, familiar objects, and lived-in spaces are the backdrop for poetic investigation. I want to engage in the complexity of life with wonder and an ambivalent spirit, constantly in search of meaning and connection even in the simplest, most unassuming subject matter.
Originally from Syracuse, NY, I received a BFA from Syracuse University studying experimental video art, then began making photography and mixed media drawings on my way to receiving my MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. I am currently located in the Boston area.
